FREQUENTLY ASKED · TAP TO EXPAND
Your CSV file is parsed in your browser — we never receive the raw file. The parsed data is then stored either locally or — once you sign in — under your account on cloud infrastructure provided by Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), and Anthropic (AI inference). All three hold SOC 2 Type II reports; Vercel and Supabase additionally hold ISO 27001 certifications. Kleev itself is not independently audited under those frameworks — we're a small team and certification is on the roadmap, not the ledger today.
What we can promise: bank credentials never touch our servers (CSV-only ingestion), data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and one-click wipe is a real button — not a support ticket. We don't sell, share, or mine your data.
Be aware that Kleev's AI features (categorisation, transfer detection, loan extraction, AI chat, financial insights) do send transaction details, account names, balances, and aggregated context to Anthropic to generate their output. Anthropic states it doesn't retain API inputs on its standard tier. The full list of providers and what's shared with each is in the Privacy Policy.
All of them. Direct parsers for eleven banks; for anything else the AI column-mapper detects the format, you confirm once, Kleev remembers.

There is no bank Kleev can't read.
No. Kleev never connects to your bank. You upload statement CSVs the same way you'd email them to your accountant. We never see your credentials, and we never need to.
Completely free. We're committed to democratising access to institutional-grade financial tooling — the kind of analysis previously locked behind wealth-manager retainers — so every Australian can manage their money properly.
No, and we're explicit about that. Kleev sits inside the AFSL descriptive layer — it tells you what's happening with your money ("you spent 30% more on takeaway this quarter"), not what to buy or sell. We will never upsell financial products, take kickbacks, or recommend a fund. For product recommendations, talk to a licensed adviser.
For the boring 90% of personal finance, categorising spend, projecting cashflow, modelling offset accounts, statement-grid tax positions, tracking subscriptions, Kleev does the reading for you on your real data. That's where most of an adviser's hourly fee goes anyway: reading the numbers, building the spreadsheet, surfacing the trend.
We can't and won't replace the actual advice part, but for everything else, Kleev does it the moment you upload, for a fraction of what that work costs today. For the 10% that's deeply personal (estate planning, complex super strategies, ethical investing), where licensed advice is genuinely required, a human adviser still adds value.

Sign in, hit "Launch app", drag your CSV onto the upload area on the dashboard. We recommend doing this on a laptop or desktop — drag-and-drop is fiddly on mobile and the statement grid is much easier to navigate on a wider screen. Once your data is in, the dashboard and key metrics view beautifully on mobile.
Around 95% on Australian merchants in our test set. When Kleev gets it wrong, override the category in-place and that becomes a learned rule for everyone (we share categorisation intelligence, never transaction data). Anything Kleev can't categorise gets surfaced for you to label.
Everything goes. All cloud data is hard-deleted within 30 days. Local browser storage is wiped on sign-out. One click in settings — no support ticket, no email confirmation.
Yes — at rest on our cloud infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase, Anthropic; all SOC 2 Type II, Vercel + Supabase also ISO 27001) and in transit (TLS). Kleev itself isn't independently audited under those frameworks yet. The local browser storage is unencrypted by design (encryption-at-rest in the browser is a false promise), so if someone has physical access to your unlocked machine they can read it. Use a screen lock.
Yes — all features render down to 375px (iPhone SE). For the best experience, we suggest using a laptop or desktop for uploading statements and editing the property statement grid; the wider canvas makes both significantly easier. Once your data is in, the dashboard, KPIs and goals views all look beautiful on mobile.
RECENT UPDATES
The shipping ledger.
Ask Kleev AI a money question and it now works through the maths on your own figures: compare offset against extra repayments, model a rate change, or see how a goal tracks at different contributions. It lays out the common options and their trade-offs instead of leaving you to guess, while sticking to general information and calculations rather than personal advice.
The dashboard and property charts were rebuilt to be read at a glance — a clearer view of where money goes each month, a waterfall that shows what's left of your rent after costs, and a ribbon laying out when your recurring charges land. Hover almost anything now and the transactions behind it appear.
Your offset balance now carries forward into future months, so projected interest no longer jumps the moment your imported data ends. The statement grid and the offset-impact projections finally tell the same story.
The signed-in app now wears the same paper-and-ink editorial look as the site — a new icon nav rail, a redesigned sign-in with a live tracked-total counter, and eucalypt green accents throughout.
Statements are read by their content, not per-bank guesses. Sign conventions are verified against the file's own running balance, headerless files import completely, and card repayments count as transfers — not income.
