Privacy and security
Your CSV file is parsed in your browser, so we never receive the raw file. The one exception is a bank layout we don't recognise yet: to work out which column holds what, we send the column headers, the file name and the first five rows to our AI, and we save the headers with your mapping so the next file imports without setup. The parsed rows are then stored either locally or (once you sign in) under your account on cloud infrastructure provided by Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), and Anthropic (AI inference). All three hold SOC 2 Type II reports; Vercel and Supabase additionally hold ISO 27001 certifications. Kleev itself is not independently audited under those frameworks: we're a small team and certification is on the roadmap, not the ledger today.
What we can promise: bank credentials never touch our servers (CSV-only ingestion), data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and one-click wipe is a real button, not a support ticket. We don't sell, share, or mine your data.
Be aware that Kleev's AI features (categorisation, transfer detection, loan extraction, AI chat, financial insights) do send transaction details, account names, balances, and aggregated context to Anthropic to generate their output. Anthropic states it doesn't retain API inputs on its standard tier. The full list of providers and what's shared with each is in the Privacy Policy.
No. Kleev never connects to your bank. You export statement CSVs from your own online banking and drop them into Kleev, which reads them in your browser. We never see your credentials, and we never need to.
Everything goes. All cloud data is hard-deleted within 30 days. Local browser storage is wiped on sign-out. One click in settings, with no support ticket and no email confirmation.
Yes. At rest on our cloud infrastructure (Vercel, Supabase, Anthropic; all SOC 2 Type II, Vercel + Supabase also ISO 27001) and in transit (TLS). Kleev itself isn't independently audited under those frameworks yet. The local browser storage is unencrypted by design (encryption-at-rest in the browser is a false promise), so if someone has physical access to your unlocked machine they can read it. Use a screen lock.
AI
No, and we're explicit about that. Kleev sits inside the AFSL descriptive layer: it tells you what's happening with your money ("you spent 30% more on takeaway this quarter"), not what to buy or sell. We will never upsell financial products, take kickbacks, or recommend a fund. For product recommendations, talk to a licensed adviser.
Around 95% on Australian merchants in our test set. When Kleev gets it wrong, override the category in-place and that becomes a learned rule for everyone (we share categorisation intelligence, never transaction data). Anything Kleev can't categorise gets surfaced for you to label.
About Kleev
For the boring 90% of personal finance, categorising spend, projecting cashflow, modelling offset accounts, statement-grid tax positions, tracking subscriptions, Kleev does the reading for you on your real data. That's where most of an adviser's hourly fee goes anyway: reading the numbers, building the spreadsheet, surfacing the trend.
We can't and won't replace the actual advice part, but for everything else, Kleev does it the moment you upload, for a fraction of what that work costs today. For the 10% that's deeply personal (estate planning, complex super strategies, ethical investing), where licensed advice is genuinely required, a human adviser still adds value.

Getting started
All of them. Direct parsers for eleven banks; for anything else the AI column-mapper detects the format, you confirm once, Kleev remembers.
AMEXANZCBAHSBCINGMACQUARIENABREVOLUTUBANKWESTPACWISEThere is no bank Kleev can't read.
Sign in, hit "Launch app", drag your CSV onto the upload area on the dashboard. We recommend doing this on a laptop or desktop: drag-and-drop is fiddly on mobile and the statement grid is much easier to navigate on a wider screen. Once your data is in, the dashboard and key metrics view beautifully on mobile.
Yes. All features render down to 375px (iPhone SE). For the best experience, we suggest using a laptop or desktop for uploading statements and editing the property statement grid; the wider canvas makes both significantly easier. Once your data is in, the dashboard, KPIs and goals views all look beautiful on mobile.
Pricing and billing
Kleev has a free plan you can stay on for as long as you like; paid plans from A$3.39/wk billed annually unlock deeper AI, the EOFY tax pack and the monthly CFO report. We want everyone to have the tools to manage their money well, so the essentials stay free.
Yes. Cancel whenever you like and your paid plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then your account moves to the free plan. No lock-in.
Upgrades apply straight away and we prorate the difference. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period, and your data stays exactly where it is.
No. You keep access for the time you have paid for, and you can cancel future renewals anytime.
We retry the payment for 7 days. If it still fails we cancel the subscription and move your account to the free plan. Nothing is deleted.

Add your own spending categories
M44The 42 built-in categories no longer have to fit everything. Add your own from the category dropdown while you upload or straight from the transactions table, and it is selectable immediately without a refresh. Rename or delete them later in settings, where deleting tells you how many transactions will move back to Uncategorised before you confirm. Your categories follow your account, so they are there on every device you sign in from, and Kleev AI only ever sees your own list.
Exclude transactions from your spending
M43Until now the only chance to exclude a transaction was during setup. Select any rows in the transactions table and exclude them whenever you spot them, with a confirmation that says exactly what changes. Excluded transactions drop out of your spending and budget totals and stay visible in the table as a record, so nothing disappears on you.
A faster, clearer first upload
M42We rebuilt the upload and setup flow around getting you to your numbers sooner. The steps now tell you what happens next in plain language, the peer-to-peer step explains its three choices as cards instead of paragraphs, and the guidance appears while Kleev is still working rather than after. Setting up an investment property got the same treatment. We also fixed a parsing fault that could put an account number where a merchant name belongs on some bank exports.
Your property now has its own email address
M41Every investment property in Kleev now has a dedicated email address. Share it with your property manager, and when their statements arrive we read the attachments, categorise every line and queue the transactions for your review in the new Automation tab. Bills and invoices are held separately as supporting documents so nothing double-counts, and not a cent lands on your statement grid until you approve it. Works with any agent on any software, and with irregular or fortnightly statements too.
Start with two weeks free
M40Every first Pro or Max subscription now starts with two weeks free. We charge your card at checkout with two weeks' worth of the plan price taken off your first bill, on either billing cycle, and on annual plans the two weeks come on top of the 15% annual saving. This replaces the old 14-day free trial, so there is no surprise charge two weeks in.
Put agent statements on your property's books
M39You can now load your property manager's statement rows straight onto a property, with a guided step to convert the PDF and a review table to check dates, amounts and categories before you confirm. Confirmed rows land as tagged property transactions that feed the statement grid, and they stay out of your personal spending entirely. Re-uploading the same statement never duplicates rows.
